 Orchids have been in my life for the past 5 years or so. It started out small, 3 orchids received as gifts; but, then they bloomed again, and I was hooked. I find no shame in my addiction... orchidmania has been going on for hundreds of years. The Orchids in my collection began with the Phalaenopsis, or moth orchid, commonly found in most floral centers. There are over 20,000 orchid species in over 725 genera. So many to choose from. My Wish List is always changing! The Atrium is home to my orchids. Living in Colorado means low humidity and constantly changing light levels. It is a learning process to provide the proper conditions for all the different orchids; a challenge I happily face every day.
